The Maffucci Family
Howard and his wife Tina, a former elementary school teacher, have lived in Pittsford for 34 years, and are proud members of their community, with two children and three rambunctious grandchildren.
The Maffuccis are a dyed-in-the-wool Pittsford family. Not only was Howard an integral part of the Pittsford educational system before moving on to serving in the Gates-Chili and East Rochester school systems, but his wife and their children have followed in his footsteps. Tina, Howard’s wife, taught at Jefferson Road and then Mendon Center Elementary for 20 years. And their children, raised in the district’s public school system, are integral members of the community, a demonstration of the best the community has to offer for its children.
Their son Steven is an attorney at Nixon Peabody, and an Afghanistan War veteran, who returned home to practice law in the community where he grew up. He and his wife Jenny, who works as a nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital and teaches at the University of Rochester School of Nursing, just had their first daughter a short time ago. Their daughter Amy is a Columbia Law School graduate who has also returned home to raise her two children with her husband Mason, who also graduated from Columbia Law School and now works in finance. Howard and Tina’s three grandchildren are too young to yet make their mark, but they are almost assured to be a part of the community that built their parents and grandparents. Howard and his wife Tina are first and foremost grandparents, second of all parents to two wonderful children, and then, at the end of the day, servants of their community.
